Mid-Week Fishing Report: September 21-23, 2013  (2 1/2 days)

Fly-in Floating Cabins camp at the Matupiri river in the Muhura reservation group of 8 anglers had a promising start  landing 238 peacocks with the largest weighing 15 lbs.. Last week´s group of 4 anglers landed 494 peacocks including an impressive 16 pounder. This group is enjoying  fair weather with no rain, water levels have dropped about 4 inches daily presenting a good forecast for the coming days.

Anglers at the Fly-in Floating Cabins camp at the Igapo-Acu are showing a partial result of 373 landed peacocks and have also enjoyed fair weather. Water levels are descending slower than in the Matupiri, according to the weather forecast we expect descending rate to pick up in the coming days. Last week´s fish count for this fishery was 833 landed peacocks.

FISHERY NEWS:

Mid-South: (Muhura Indian Reservation - see area in orange in Fishery Map) Water levels are descending about 4 inches per day in a general  descending trend. Mid-North: (South bank Negro tributaries See area in purple in Fishery Map) Water levels at the headwaters of these Negro tributaries are at a good level already, we are looking forward to a good startup for our scheduled  operations  from Oct.01st  to Dec 15th.

North: (North bank  Negro tributaries See area in blue in Fishery Map) Water levels at all North Negro tributaries are too high which is normal this time of the year. Water levels should be good from Dec 15th to Mar 15th.

North-East: (Roraima State See area in blue in Fishery Map) The Río Branco tributaries water levels (River Plate’s exclusives: Itapará, Xeurini,  Jufari) are too high which is normal this time of the year. Water levels should be goodfrom Nov 15 to Mar 15.

Mid-Week Fishing Report: September 14-16, 2013 (2 1/2 days)

Fly-in Floating Cabins camp at the Matupiri river in the Muhura reservation (Lat: O4 53 48 S...Long: 6O 47 27 W). Last week´s group landed 603 peacocks. This group of 4 anglers days have landed 200 peacocks and the largest weighed 15 lbs., implying that they have fished an average of 50 peacocks per angler in these past 2 ½ days. This group has enjoyed fair weather with no rain, water levels dropping about 4 inches daily showing good fishing conditions.

Anglers at the Fly-in Floating Cabins camp at the Igapo-Acu are showing a partial result of 202 landed peacocks and have also enjoyed fair weather. Water levels are descending nicely but are higher than in the Matupiri, fishing conditions are a bit more challenging here.

North: (North bank Negro tributaries See area in blue in Fishery Map) Water levels at all North Negro tributaries are too high which is normal this time of the year. Water levels should be good from Dec 15th to Mar 15th.

Mid-Week Fishing Report: September 7-9, 2013  (2 1/2 days)

Fly-in Floating Cabins stationed now at the Matupiri river in the Muhura reservation. Last week´s group landed 1243 peacocks. This group of 8 anglers are showing a partial result of 245 landed peacocks  with 5 of them above 10lbs. This group has endured some episodes of heavy rain but the rain forecast looks promising for the rest of the week.

Camp at the IgapoAcu had trouble with satellite data transmission, we expect to post results on this camp next week.

Mid-Week Fishing Report: Aug. 31 - Sep. 2 ,2013 (2 1/2 days)

Fly-in Floating Cabins strategically positioned at our private fishery at the Igapo-Acu river in the Muhura reservation (coordinates: O4,3O 25 S, 6O 32 O6 W). Great work and great fun by this 8 angler group who landed in these 2 ½ days a total of 664 peacocks, with 4 over 10 lbs.

No significant rain on the last weekend and water levels are descending 4 inches daily.
