Mid-Week Fishing Report: Dec. 07-09, 2013 (2 1/2 days)

The traditional Christmas and end of the year pause is getting near. Fly-in floating cabins are being positioned to make the mid-season maintenance procedures to get ready for a very fresh start next January. Weather forecast for the camp fishing at the Homero lakes looks promising for the rest of the week.  

Homero river Fly-in Floating cabins with fair weather during the last weekend. Last week´s totaled 1.362  landed peacocks and the largest weighing 16 lbs. This week´s group started with a promising 386 fish count with a 15lbs. one to show. Good fishing conditions make us think that this group will enjoy an excellent fishing week.

CPTEC Brazil´s Climate prevision agency (http://clima1.cptec.inpe.br/) accumulated rain report on the last weekend.  Check rain forecast probabilities also for Barcelos and Carvoeiro.

North: (North bank Negro tributaries See area in blue in Fishery Map) Water levels at all North Negro tributaries are almost at jungle level and improving. Water levels  will be perfect for next January.

North-East: (Roraima State See area in blue in Fishery Map) The Río Branco tributaries water levels (River Plate’s exclusives: Itapará, Xeurini,  Jufari) are at jungle level  which is normal this time of the year. Mid-Week Fishing Report: Nov.30 - Dec.02, 2013 (2 1/2 days)

Weather forecast for Carvoeiro looks promising with very little rain for the rest of the week. We expect water levels to keep on improving. (Pls. check graphs below)

Homero river Fly-in Floating cabins with fair weather during the last weekend. Last week´s totaled 933 landed peacocks with 49 over the 10lbs mark and the largest weighing 16 lbs. This week´s group starts with a 369 fish count and an excellent  forecast for the next days.

Lower Xeruini private fishery presented good fishing conditions with water level at jungle level. Anglers landed 162 peacocks with the largest weighing 14lbs.. Last week´s group landed 1043 peacocks and the largest weighed 18lbs. According to the rainfall graphics, past and future, water levels are expected to improve significantly on the coming days.

The other camps are being repositioned in better water levels.
