Mid-Week Fishing Report: July 14 – 16, 2018 (2 ½ days)

2.224 Landed Peacock Bass at the Marmelos river

Last week the Smith group (8 anglers) closed their fishing week with an outstanding fishcount of 2.224 landed peacock bass, setting a challenging benchmark for the rest of the season. Last Saturday our Floating-Suites at our Marmelos river private fishery, received the Roos group, who had a good start with 558 landed peacock bass, 22 of which were above the 10 lbs. mark. Weather forecast for the rest of the week is excellent (see below Manicoré chart) and water levels should continue to drop at a normal rate. Suites are expected to move towards the lake zone during the week.  

Dry-Zone S.East 
Water levels are 1.75 ft. above optimal level and dropping (see graph below - Humaita). Weather forecast confirms tendency showing no significant rain episodes (see forecast below - Manicore).
NOTE that the yellow area at the North affecting the Amazon basin and our fisheries makes us believe that it might have a positive influence (70%) in our fisheries, averting extreme water levels for the rest of the season.

Mid-Week Fishing Report: July 07 – 09, 2018 (2 ½ days)

Consistent yields at our Marmelos river private fishery.

The Smith group (8 anglers) arrived last Saturday to our Floating Suites, stationed at the Marmelos river, they had a good start with 778 landed peacock bass, the largest of which weighed 16 lbs. The Matos group ended the week with a 1.779 landed peacock bass, and a 19lbs landmark to beat. Weather conditions continue to be fine, and water levels keep dropping at a normal rate. Consistent yields are expected for the near future of this fantastic fishery, naturally subject to the abilities of our visiting anglers.

Mid-Week Fishing Report: June 30 – July 02 , 2018 (2 ½ days)

Marmelos private fishery: 8 anglers, 2 ½ days, 1.002 landed peacock bass !

Last weekend we received in our Marmelos private fishery, the Matos group (8 anglers) which had an outstanding start with 1.002 landed peacock bass in just 2 1/2 days. The largest weighing 16 lbs and also in the bag some exotic matrinxas. Previous week final count was 1.989 peacock bass the largest of which was a bit shy of 18lbs. Fishing conditions keep improving. Water levels dropping normally, and weather forecast is excellent.
