MID-WEEK FISHING REPORT: DEC. 30 – JAN 06, 2018 (2 ½ DAYS)
CELEBRATING THE NEW YEAR IN THE JUNGLE
Last Saturday 30th, we received in two Fly-in Floating Suites two groups totaling 14 anglers who decided to start 2018 in the quiet of the jungle, just fishing. They headed to the headwaters of the Jufaris and Xeruini rivers. They obtained good yields of up to more than 100 landed peacock bass per boat per day (see table above) but perhaps due to some heavy rain episodes only very few trophies. Rain is expected to stop today and the forecast for the rest of the week is excellent. Water levels are about 2ft below jungle level and are slowly starting to rise.
The Indirei group arriving today for a short week will enjoy perfect fishing conditions.
Water levels are high, closed for the season, which is normal for this time of the year.
