Mid-Week Fishing Report: July 21 – 23, 2018 (2 ½ days)

MARMELOS RIVER PRIVATE FISHERY AT ITS FINEST!

Last Saturday we received the Bellamy group at our Marmelos river private fishery, which received them with perfect fishing conditions. Water levels are excellent and weather forecast for the week is great (see below). They had a great start landing 696 peacock bass. Last week the Roos group final tally was 1.516 peacock bass, the largest of which weighed 17lbs.

NEW AND NOTEWORTHY:

We are very happy to announce that one of River Plate Angler´s independent Brazilian operators was selected by local Indian tribes and Brazilian authorities for the exclusive fishing rights to the upper Uneuixi River. The reserve is one of the last vestiges of untouched trophy peacock bass fishing in the Amazon.

Dry-Zone S.East

Water levels are at the optimal level and slowly descending (see graph below – Humaita). Weather forecast confirms tendency showing no significant rain episodes (see forecast below – Manicore).

NOTE that the yellow area at the North affecting the Amazon basin and our fisheries makes us believe that it might have a positive influence (70%) in our fisheries, averting extreme water levels for the rest of the season.

Weather forecast for Manicore ,  in the area of influence of the Marmelos private fishery shows no significant rain episodes until the weekend.
