Mid Week Fishing Report: November 21th-23th, 2020 (2 ½ days)
OVER 1000 FISH CAUGHT BY 20 ANGLERS
Weekend’s Tally:
Omero Lakes in Dry Zone N. East: The Pedro Paulo group of 8 anglers caught 364 fish. Medium intensity rains in this area have led to high water levels, but we expect them to fall over the next few days.
Mid/Low Jufaris River in Dry Zone N. West: The Guilherme Zemi group of 3 anglers landed 157 fish, with the largest being 18 pounds. Water levels in this region were low, but with intense rain so we expect them to rise a bit in the next few days.
Curiucu River in Dry Zone N. East: The Marin group of 5 anglers landed 462 fish. Water levels in this area were ideal for fishing.
Xeurini River in Dry Zone N. West: The Zeca group of 4 anglers caught 115 fish.
Water Level Report
Dry Zone N. East: Last week we saw higher rainfall than predicted, leading to rising water levels. However, fishing is still very good in this area.
Dry Zone N. West: Water levels in the Negro River basin have continued to drop, as predicted in our last two fishing reports, and the area is now very fishable. We might move two of our stand-by operations into this area.
Dry-Zone S. East: Water levels are high in this area 150 miles south of Manaus which is normal for this time of the year. Our private rivers in this Dry-Zone time period of August–October were closed down due to Covid.
Dry-Zone S. West: Water levels are high in this area 450 miles south of Manaus which is normal for this time of the year. Our private rivers in this Dry-Zone time period of June-August were closed down due to Covid.
